Duties and Responsibilities

Advises and governs accounting conclusions on complex topics or issues.

Builds organizational capability within their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Contributes to business unit/operational and enterprise strategy creation for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Coordinates and manages discussions of accounting issues and progress of the annual financial statement audit with external auditors.

Develops an overall strategic vision for LFGs accounting and reporting functions.

Develops and implements new accounting procedures, reporting systems and tools.

Directs financial reporting activities to meet Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, Statutory Accounting Principle (STAT) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Ensures the accounting and reporting functions are meeting all objectives pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, productivity, customer service, budget, and project management.

Ensures the accounting and reporting functions operational plans are aligned with LFGs overall business plans and accounting plans and specific strategic and tactical initiatives.

Ensures the effective implementation, integrations, and execution of LFGs accounting and reporting functions strategic and tactical plan initiatives.

Establishes the accounting and reporting functions organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures.

Guides and evaluates departmental performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Leads and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Leads and integrates large enterprise wide initiatives and projects with accounting and finance reporting implications.

Leads the governance and monitoring of the balance sheet

Leads the identification, development, and implementation of strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, business unit, and/or the organization for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Leads, establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to achieve key business results for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Leads/executes approved strategy for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with executive/senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.

Oversees the review, interpretation and course of action in response to complex regulatory accounting and reporting requirements and emerging trends.

Prepares communications for senior management of the financial strength of the organization for internal purposes, Board offerings and acquisitions and depositions of businesses.

Provides thought leadership and functional expertise to internal/external stakeholders for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.

Represents LFGT Finance Department at external industry seminars and forums.

Responsible for the quality and timeliness of financial results for the company and is responsible for advising and making recommendations to senior management on financial implications of proposed transactions.

4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required



12+ Years in Financethat directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 5+ years of management, strategy, and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience (Required )

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Office:Employees will work in a Lincoln office generally three days each week and work from home the remainder of the days, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
