Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Databases DBA to support to the Department of Transportation's Enterprise IT Infrastructure environment contract. Our work will assist with the management of IT services for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) including: Service Desk, Incident Management, Customer Service Operations, Database Administration, Telephone & Conference Call Services, Desktop Support, Mobile Device Support, and Remote Access Support.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs day-to-day administration of database servers, to include installation, maintenance, and configuration.
  • Performs troubleshooting and resolution management.
  • Provides support for advanced user jobs and analytics.
  • Maintains smooth operation and implements changes following best practices
  • Implements and maintains backup and recovery solutions
  • Provide accurate estimates for their own work;
  • Understand and apply a formal quality approach;
  • Liaise with internal Change and Release Management functions to enable the smooth transition of solutions from test and Pre-Production into Production;
  • Produce both customer-facing and internal knowledge base documentation as required in line with company and customer standards;
  • Participate in and facilitate knowledge sharing between Support, Development and Service Delivery functions;


Basic Qualifications:
  • Related experience as a Database Administrator
  • Experience supporting Oracle Database environments
  • Experience supporting SQL Database environments
  • Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
