Department Overview

The Payment Operations Specialist Lead assists the Cash Management team in all activities involving the support of the Payment Operations products. The primary focus will be on reconcilements, daily operations support, Customer inquiries, transaction processing and maintaining Customer files.

HOURS: Monday-Friday; start time is 7:00 am

The position is located in Lexington, SC and will be worked in office. This position is not eligible for a remote opportunity.

Job Description

Leads associates in daily functions pertaining to Payment Operations
Monitors workflow and setting priorities
Responsible for researching most complex questions and transactions that cannot be resolved within minutes, frequent interaction with corporate Customers, as well as internal Managerial staff
Supervises and takes part in daily operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency of workflow and staff
Maintains high overall integrity of the Payment Operations department
Trains new Employees and updates staff on new procedures
Explores and develops productivity and quality measures
Reviews items and makes recommendations regarding quality issues to the appropriate level
Acts as back-up to Payment Operations Supervisor when necessary
Processes / reconciles transactions related to product/functional area
Contributes to procedural changes as needed
Reviews items and reports quality issues to the appropriate level
Supports stores, various departments and areas/products when needed
Ensures deadlines are met on a daily basis
Answers Payment Operations questions for department Employees and Internal Staff

Job Requirements

4 year degree or equivalent experience
7+ years related experience required
Strong knowledge of Payment Operations and understanding of bank operations, department policies, procedures, products, services, systems and applications
Prior supervisory experiences, organizational, analytical and decision-making skills a plus
Strong Customer service skills, including ability to identify client issues, research skills and ability to translate technical material and information for nontechnical users
Excellent PC skills, including proven knowledge of Windows and ability to operate standard office equipment
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
Ability to mentor and serve as a resource to Payment Operations Specialist I, II & III
