Summary

The Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) Research Team brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of AR and VR, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. The FRL Graphics Research team is working on pushing the boundaries of computer graphics in a diverse ecosystem involving both low-power graphics devices running at the user, and higher-power graphics machines at the edge or in the cloud. For this internship, we are looking for Ph.D. students to research & develop split rendering algorithms to develop novel distributed rendering pipelines for AR and VR, aiming to solve the next generation of challenges in the visual computing space and enable various high-quality novel AR/VR experiences based on it. FRL offers internships ranging from twelve (12) to sixteen (16), or twenty-four (24) week periods. We encourage submitting papers to high-ranked computer graphics conferences and journals based on the results of the internship.
