Group Technical Program Manager, Dev Infrastructure and Productivity Tooling

Summary

The Group Technical Program Management for Dev Infra productivity tooling will have both deep technical and program expertise that can drive results with agility and leadership. The team focuses on all Productivity tooling and AI & Data Developer Experience tooling for Facebook. We are looking for an inspirational team leader that can gain the support and efforts of stakeholder teams and task owners. Have an influence that spans many dimensions as you engage to understand, solve and accomplish great things. Inspire and wear multiple hats - bringing the whole team with you. Hire and retain talent. Demonstrated experience building, grooming, and mentoring technical program management or engineering teams, and a proven track record of scaling infrastructure in a highly transformative environment. Specifically, she/he will be an innovative, intellectually curious problem solver. This person does not need to have the "correct" answer to everything but, rather, should be able to quickly drive the conversation toward a productive programmatic solution by including the right.

Required Skills

  • Build and lead a team of TPM's capable of scaling with Facebook through a period of continued high-growth while forging tight partnerships with managers and engineers across infrastructure & product teams.
  • Build strategy and vision for FB productivity tooling and AI and Data Developers Dev environment and tooling infrastructure, to solve for Dev environment and tooling efficiency and optimization, at scale for all FB products in close collaboration with product, infra and privacy leaders across the company.
  • Demonstrate an ability to structure an organization and optimize it for execution, including attracting top tier talent and filing out gaps in the existing team quickly to accommodate growth.
  • Manage from the front, prioritize, and drive the bigger mission forward by translating vision into results.
  • Manage, mentor and grow the existing technical program management teams.
  • Measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes that are working well and build the next level of improvements, set standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Partner with all technical functions across the company to ensure all organizations are in sync.
  • Continue to improve the thriving engineering culture across all tech functions.
  • Build and lead an organization with customer focus and effective communication with a focus on decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive resolutions to conflicts, and a "no barriers" mentality.
  • Serve as an evangelist for the team and overall culture, both internally and externally.


Minimum Qualification

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a People Manager.
  • Experience either in an established support, central technology, CICD, scalable and secure AI/ML, cloud computing or mid-sized growth stage company.
  • Experience communicating behind program architectures, including how and why they were run, and the systems put in place to run them.
  • Knowledge in technical program management methodologies.
  • Experience partnering and providing team support for management activities with your stakeholders.
  • Experience moving technical or engineering programs from concept to completion and experience articulating the impact using metrics, growth examples, return.
  • Experience with scale, production with emphasis on Reliability, Efficiency, Scalability, Security or Privacy.
  • Experience implementing instrumentation and monitoring solutions.


Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with AI/ML and scalable Data Development systems and pipelines.
