The Corporate Transformation and Operations Business Management & Colleague Experience team is dynamic, passionate and committed to providing the best support for communications, colleague experience, change management, business operations, operational support, business continuity, incident management, and processes and standards to enable our partners to achieve their mandates and strategic objectives.

Job Description

The Senior Business Management Analyst will report into the Manager, Business Management and Colleague Experience.
They will provide specialized Business Continuity & Incident Management related support to several departments in the bank. The successful candidate must understand and lead the execution of the Business Continuity Plans. This role will include assisting with Pandemic Coordination and the leading and maintaining compliance for all Business Continuity Plans, and Incident Management practices. You will also be responsible for BCM testing, Incident Management, Exercise Strategy Scenario testing, related Health and Safety and other functions to ensure that we keep our colleagues safe and mitigate risk.

Job Requirements

Works independently as the senior analyst /subject matter expert and may coach and educate others
Considered a subject matter expert within a given area
Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end to end
Focus on short to medium -term issues (e.g. monthly-quarterly)

• Develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level.
• Develop and deliver presentations / communications to management or broader audience.
• Support development and/or implementation of standards, policies, procedures, and solutions that mitigate risk and maximize availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead support relevant meetings or committees and related deliverables / outcomes representing several groups on Business Continuity, Incident Management and the principles to ensure recovery, resiliency and a timely response to an incident.
• Identification of business controls and remediation requirements; aligned to current Standards & Guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Drive required action/remediation plans to address BCM gaps, findings, priorities or issues across BCM plans, and tests.
• Execute, manage and plan work activities that may require alignment across multiple areas supported by the Corporate Transformation Business Management team.
• Assume support role on all incident management, BCM to internal business partners; recognizing and anticipating emerging trends, identifying issues/opportunities and recommending action both internally, and as required to senior management.
• Forecast and prioritize scope of accountabilities while influencing and aligning others as needed to ensure business functions, priorities and objectives are met.
• Provide functional / business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and/or colleagues are consistent, appropriate and aligned to business strategies and executive management direction
• Support and promote a strong risk culture by identifying opportunities to strengthen and improve processes and controls and ensuring the business operate within the Bank's risk appetite

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree
5 + years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Incident Management and Business Continuity experience; building and assessing project delivery, preferably in an operations, governance or shared services related role.

• Proven ability to Lead, assimilate and understand high volume of complex information and breaking them down into manageable parts in a systematic manner.
• Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines
• Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency
• Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers
• Independently perform tasks from end to end
• Thorough understanding of the Standards and Guideline's related to BCM, Incident Management and how they apply to the different business segments and ensures the integrity of the three lines of defense.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing concise business messages, documents, creating impactful presentations, and presenting analysis to management and senior executives.
• Track record of strong time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines, as well as flexibility to adapt to competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and exceed expectations with minimal supervision.
• Independent thinker with exceptional analytical skills and strong business acumen. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and react to discrepancies and anomalies.
• Demonstrated skills in assessing and prioritizing based on business impact, need and risk factors
• Proven ability to work with and build relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with teams and individuals, with a keen ability to demonstrate patience, influence and negotiate.
• Expert in BCM tools such as ORBIT and xMatters
• Results driven, self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to manage deadlines and multiple deliverables as well as adapt well to changing priorities.
• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills; with high degree of attention to detail and initiative to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, evacuation, Fire Warden procedures would be an asset.
