Job Description:

The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation is seeking a Junior Database Developer in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities: -
  • Maintain and support Sql server development, test, and production environments and associated schemas, database tables, components, and web applications.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures as pertains to DB maintenance
  • Create functions and stored procedures to provide custom functionality as per the requirements
  • Apply iterative processes utilizing the agile methodology and a frequent release cycle in support of the various ongoing software development projects
  • Design future database enhancements to support maximum interoperability across all components and offices to ensure flexibility in leveraging the system for future applications.
  • Maintain the existing Sql server database, data tables, data feeds and associated schemas. Maintenance activities may include, but are not limited to, monitoring data feeds and ETL process, addressing data feed anomalies and data errors, table structure adjustments, and reference table updates.
  • Assist in maintaining all related environments and web user interfaces
  • Work with team to create and influence industry best standards for development, governance and operational lifecycle

Required Qualifications: -
  • Proficiency in Relational and NoSQL Databases
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting performance and Sql server database issues
  • Knowledge of designing and developing documentation on databases (i.e., stored procedures, configuration files, tables, views, and functions)
  • Knowledge of user/security management

Educational Qualifications: -

Bachelor's degree with 0-1 year experience with training or certification in Sql server database development.
