We currently have an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, high performing cross-functional team as Global Consumer Marketing Director for RSV Adults Description: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in adults has been labelled ‘A Hidden Annual Epidemic' by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases. RSV is a widespread respiratory virus that is a leading cause of respiratory tract disease, hospitalization and death in older adults, adults with chronic heart or lung diseases and immunocompromised adults. RSV is responsible for 177,000 hospitalizations and 14,000 deaths annually in the US alone, coupled with no vaccine currently available, makes RSV one of our most significant remaining infectious disease unmet medical needs. While RSV can be dangerous for at risk adults, there is some awareness with HCPs and minimal awareness with Consumers. There are no treatments or vaccines currently available for RSV. GSK is leading the way with a vaccine in Phase 3 clinical development. This is a top priority brand for GSK. The Consumer GMD, reporting to the Vaccines Commercialization leader, will play a critical and energizing role in building the category for RSV Adult immunization. This is a highly visible and strategically important role for GSK. We are looking for a candidate who can lead the way here. What we need As the global marketing lead for a category that is yet to be created, you will be accountable to lead and drive the Global Consumer Marketing strategy and execution , guiding and in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders globally, to maximize the asset ambition and pace of update in a newly created category. The successful candidate will have a proven record of global and/or US consumer marketing strategy development and execution, brand strategy definition and growth, multi-year product development and management. The preferred location is Rockville; but flexible for an ideal candidate within close proximity of Philadelphia. Your responsibilities: Develop and build category awareness for RSV in adults with key specialists Create detailed understanding of the market place, relevant customer stakeholder groups and translate into meaningful customer insight for these specialists Develop segmentation and the behavioural/belief shift objectives for priority specialists in partnership with key cross functional partners and countries Support the development of the disease education platform to deliver on behavioural/belief shift objectives inclusive of, insight, positioning, messaging platform and disease story Development of creative briefs to guide delivery of campaign development and relevant content creation Lead creation of integrated cross channel marketing mix, with a focus on digital Lead the commercialisation operational group with key cross functional and primary LOCs Agency management Budget management Support development/refinement of Integrated Asset Planning work packages, working with cross functional teams as approach C2FL Drive culture of trust, respect, transparency and accountability Why you?
