Paralegal, US Wealth and Personal Banking

Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our New York, New York office.

As the Paralegal, US Wealth and Personal Banking, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys in the HSBC US Wealth and Personal Banking ("WPB") team. The WPB business offers variety of banking, credit and investment services to mass affluent, high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients with a focus on internationally-minded clients.

WPB attorneys advise on Retail and Private Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Credit and Lending and Trusts and Fiduciary Services.

Here's what you can expect day-to-day.

As the Paralegal, US Wealth and Personal Banking, you will:
  • Analyze of the legal sufficiency of:
    • Powers of attorney
    • Guardianship documents
    • Trust agreements
    • Partnership, Corporation and LLC formation documents
  • Conduct legal research
  • Support front and middle office staff with Trust and fiduciary account opening and account servicing questions, including creating FAQs and guidance manuals as necessary
  • Analyze complex corporate structures for credit and lending transactions
  • Proactively identify and escalate matters that require attorney engagement
  • Develop and maintain internal reporting as needed
