Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to setting organizational policies and guidelines, and guide team members in monitoring changes in internal and external regulations. In this role, you will lead a team in developing and adjusting governance policies (to align with changing needs and external requirements), and monitor and report on activities that require compliance with policies and regulations.You will participate in meetings with regulators and government groups to establish regulatory requirements and strategic plan implementation, as well as lead a team in the implementation of strategic plans in partnership with business units to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

The Enterprise Risk - Corporate Governance - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Serve as key point of contact and subject matter expert to address questions and concerns, provide guidance, and support the communication, awareness, interpretation, and adoption of risk management policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures, guidance and reporting metrics, include topics related to risk identification and assessment, enterprise testing standards, climate and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and administration of the Treasury Risk Plan Process.
  • Collaborate with management of first, second and third line of defense partners for which risk policies are being developed in order to understand business processes and operating conditions.
  • Support the development and execution of a framework for assessment of effectiveness of risk management for the Enterprise, including risk culture.
  • Manage reviews of operating unit performance that assess how well unit practices and operations conform to risk management requirements.
  • Lead project management efforts related to remediation of issues identified by internal and external sources.
  • Contribute to the process integrity efforts related to policy exceptions and other corporate requirements.
  • Collaborate with product owners and eGRC support to ensure that requirements of risk policies and standards are defined in requirements for the company's eGRC platform
  • Develop both regular and ad hoc reports to monitor trends and analyze reports to identify key issues. Distribute reports to appropriate audiences or summarize findings for inclusion in other reports/presentations.


Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in risk management and experience in policy development, analysis, and implementation.
  • Industry experience and familiarity with risk frameworks, regulatory expectations, and best practices.
  • Ability to determine the root cause of complex issues, define solutions, and advance implementation and adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex matters in an easy to understand fashion.
  • Strong critical thinking and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Process improvement and project management experience.
  • Experience solving technical business problems and informing technical direction to align to core risk management principles and guidance.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
