Account Manager Associate - West

An Account Manager Associate provides operational and customer facing support to a qualified Account Manager or team of Account Managers. This position reports directly to a Sales Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The Account Manager Associate will be responsible for duties such as the following:
  • Drive client business with a focus on Core product offerings
  • Manage renewal business for software and support agreements
  • Strengthen manufacturer relationships thru pipeline, monthly cadence, outreach
  • Uncover ways to make existing business more profitable (bids, warranties, etc.)
  • Enter quotes and orders as needed
  • Manage purchase/procurement, preorders, bids, order release, etc.
  • Drive Ecommerce efficiencies with all clients
  • Run extranet walk-throughs with new contacts and existing contacts where necessary
  • Interact directly with customers to provide quotes, order status updates, or other requests
  • Schedule/coordinate hardware staging/deployment with services
  • Manage customer contract pricing (VIR and Cost Plus) and periodic reporting requirements
  • Prospect new contacts on accounts
  • Special projects upon request


Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years sales or sales operations experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Sales Account Manager experience
  • Relevant segment or customer knowledge
  • Knowledge of SPS
  • Knowledge of Backbone departments, responsibilities and processes
