WGL - Project Control Analyst (Analyst or Sr. Analyst)

Job Description

WGL Project Control Analyst
The Analyst will support the Project Management team through implementation of project management controls, towards delivering defined project outputs on time, within budget, and with quality results. The Analyst will also contribute to design and deploy meaningful metrics to track project management effectiveness. The position uses data analysis and reporting software such as SAP, SQL or Python to collect data from disparate data systems across multiple software platforms to complete analytics. **We are open to hiring at the Sr. level depending on experience.

You Will
• Work with appropriate resources and end users to test and implement new performance metrics and reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that analysis, reports and metrics are appropriate and useful.
• Prepare summary of exceptions on projects, inclusive of tasks that are behind schedule, tasks that are competing for the same resource, conflicting priorities and exemplary performance etc. for executive review.
• Support the preparation of progress reports, standardized reporting procedures and the monitoring of overall project performance.
• Provide key data to Project Management team to update project status and impact on overall portfolio (e.g. timelines, budget, resources, delays).
• Work with other team members to drive construction efficiency and key metrics improvement.

You Must Have
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or other relatable quantitative field preferred
• 3+ Years in a project management role, or 3+ years in planning/scheduling/controls functions required
• Demonstrated proficiency performing data analysis to support business decisions
• Good analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy
• Proficiency using Excel, SQL and/or Python to retrieve, analyze, and present information
• Working knowledge of WG enterprise systems preferred. (ARM, SAP, Peoplesoft, Powerplant, Smallworld)
