Your Role

The Analytics & Data Platform Administrator would be working as part of a highly technical team providing expertise and administration services in multiple data management (ETL/ELT/Data Virtualization/Data Quality/MDM/Metadata Mgmt.) and analytics (BI/AI/ML) technology platforms. With cross training and cross-functioning the position offers great growth opportunities. In this role, we are looking for an experienced Denodo Administrator. The person needs to continuously learn on the job and support multiple technology platforms over time.

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Establish and execute plans for achieving Denodo 'best practices' in the environment and 'best in class' status in the industry
  • Provide technical leadership in advancing the right adoption across teams using Denodo and d rive policies, procedures, and solution patterns for usage of the Denodo platform
  • Configure Cache database at server and database level
  • Support Import and Export data virtualization database and automation using UNIX Shell script
  • Manage creation of different sources for Denodo . Plan, configure, support, and maintain the systems. Initiate strategies and plan upgrades and patches
  • Initiate plans and manage actions necessary to achieve and maintain optimum platform performance, reliability and availability in serving the data scientists, architects, and operations personnel
  • Manage the security configuration, licensing and the physical installs/location of the services
  • Establish insightful monitoring of the platform using Linux scripts, Splunk or other applicable tools
  • Collaborate closely with the architecture and design team and other project personnel during the architecture, design, build and deploy phases of a project
  • Maintain the organization and security of the objects contained in the projects. These tasks entail developing and maintaining the content inventory, managing users, groups, and roles, global/local repository relationships and backup and recovery


Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience and 5 - 8 plus years of industry experience in data and analytics space preferred
  • Requires 2 plus years of focused experience in administration of Denodo
  • Good understanding and working experience for Virtual Data Port Database setup, Domain, User, Roles and Privileges configuration with LDAP and maintenance
  • Experience with Development of Data virtualization views, Base Views, Derived Views, Projection, Selection, Union, Minus, Flatten Views, etc.
  • Experience of Denodo Scheduler setup, configuration, import and export jobs and projects
  • Experience of Denodo Data Catalog tool setup and configuration
  • Experience of Denodo Solution Manager, License Manager and integration with Git
  • Experience with relational database technologies, working knowledge of SQL and performance tuning experience
  • Strong knowledge of installation, upgrades and hotfixes of the technologies
  • Familiar with typical system concepts around servers, storages, network and security
  • Working knowledge of different flavors of Linux and Unix. System and Unix basics with strong scripting skills as applied to administrative tasks
  • Experience in Source Code Management and code deployment practices including CICD
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with team members within and across project teams
  • Strong communication skills and able to work independently with varied group of people
  • Experience in administering other data management technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud development and deployment principles is a plus
  • Familiarity with other approaches to data integration, master data management, metadata management, data stewardship as well as BI/Analytics products is highly desirable
  • Willingness to train others, learn from colleagues and work on different technologies in data and analytics space
