We are seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the Air and Space Force Solutions (ASFS) Strategic Systems Information Services team. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work as a core team member to develop, adapt, and maintain advanced, highly reliable software for cloud networks, platforms, and applications. You will innovate and identify opportunities to automate tasks as well as advance agile and secure solutions. You will also collaborate with BAE Systems and customer partners to maintain a multidisciplinary focus for this large-scale project.

In this role you will:
  • Build, maintain, and administer systems necessary to maintain a healthy Continuous Improvement / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Lead and guide the design, development of reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts and update as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines and availability of the product.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure
  • Deploy and configure applications, replicating from on-prem to the cloud
  • Setup infrastructure and application monitoring
  • Contribute ideas on how to continuously improve deployment systems and processes
  • Provides technical assistance, training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of applications.
  • Focus on quality and automation

The position requires deep technical knowledge of systems, networks, and application security as well as a solid understanding of enterprise-level security frameworks, policies, processes, and standards. The candidate must have strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire date. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required education, experience, and skills:
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years relative experience with a Bachelors or 8+ years with a Master's Degree
  • DoD 8570 - IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with Public Cloud products including Amazon Web Services
  • Experience working in a software application development environment
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools and components like Cloud Formation, AWS Code, Puppet, Jenkins, circleCI, Tavis, codepipeline, Selenium, Bit Bucket, Bamboo, Ansible, Nagios.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in container, cloud native platform like Docker/Kubernetes
  • Operational experience with networking and an understanding of networking principles
  • Comfortable working independently to manage projects and tasks to completion
  • Strong ethics in the context of business and information security
  • Experience managing solutions in virtual environments with VMware products vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, ESX, vSAN
  • Experience with Linux-based Infrastructure solutions
  • Experience using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to obtain data initiate action.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting, proactively identifying issues and driving them to resolution.
  • Fast learner with ability to quickly comprehend technology and understand unique system requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred skills include experience with the following:
  • Expertise integrating across AWS Cloud Services and other DevOps work
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and scaling online services
  • Experience reviewing security scans and remediating vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with "Infrastructure as Code" and related technologies like Terraform
  • Experience supporting production systems and collaborative problem solving
  • Knowledge and understanding for use, deployment and management of Amazon AWS services for SaaS products, including but not limited to VPC, EC2, Containers, S3, ELB, RDS, Route53, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, WAF, HSM/KMS, IAM, Code Commit, Code Deploy, Code Pipeline, Elastic Bean Stalk, Cloud Trail, API Gateways and other Amazon AWS development and management tools.
  • Exposure or experience with new infrastructure approaches, including Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Storage (SDS), Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), infrastructure security
  • Exposure or experience with cloud or systems management and business continuity.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and issues to non technical leaders and users
  • Ability to present complex and challenging information to executives
  • MS Degree
  • SME/Lead Experience
  • ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA CASP or other DoD 8570 - IAT Level III certification
