Senior Director, HEOR, Breast Cancer

ROLE SUMMARY

The Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Senior Director, will serve as an HEOR strategist for the Oncology Breast franchise, Ibrance, and pipeline mBC assets including ARV-471. In collaboration with the asset development team/s, the SD will formulate HEOR strategy and conduct/oversee evidence generation and communication/publication activities, in particular real world data (RWD) studies, to support the asset value stories and differentiation of the BC franchise. The SD is responsible for the overall quality, scientific and technical excellence and compliance of HEOR deliverables for their assigned asset/s.

The execution of this leadership position will require close collaboration with Global & Market stakeholders and the rest of the Breast PHI team.

This position will function with a 'One Patient & Health Impact' mindset and will work in a closely aligned fashion with the Oncology PHI team members to ensure there is a single and coordinated view on strategy and delivery for PHI to the oncology business. This position reports to the Oncology Breast ITL.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Independently leads HEOR strategy development and implementation to support brand strategies and product positioning.
  • Provides expert guidance on evidence generation activities, such as: RWD studies of comparative effectiveness and cost; design and implementation of clinical trials with HEOR components and PROs; and economic models, aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Ensures consistent and high-quality coordination of input and engagement from local country/regional teams on evidence needs and ensure that the input is appropriately incorporated to develop an integrated evidence strategy to support global market access needs at launch and through lifecycle.
  • Able to influence and shape the life cycle management program utilizing individual depth of knowledge and experience in value evidence generation & reimbursement.
  • Enable the timely development of launch and post launch deliverables including global value dossiers (GVDs), evidence blueprints, economic models, and innovative tools to successfully support global launch and post-launch reimbursement and access requirements in conjunction with the regions/countries.
  • Represent Pfizer's interests in high level interactions with influential bodies (affiliates, international health administration bodies, advocacy groups, specialty associations, etc.).
  • Provide strategic guidance and content guidance in HTA/reimbursement (re)negotiations for Pfizer products.
  • Lead the development of appropriate data dissemination plans and communicate evidence generated via publications and conference presentations.
  • Review methodology for congress abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts/publications
  • Participate in abstract/manuscript development including expert guidance on study design, statistical analyses, medical writing as well as reviewing and approving drafts
  • Provides leadership and mentorship development to the HEOR team, including budget management


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • PhD in relevant discipline (health services research, epidemiology, health economics, psychology, etc.) with
  • 10+ years of work experience in the conduct of outcomes research to evaluate health care interventions.
  • Or a Master's degree in relevant discipline with 13+ years of pharmaceutical research experience in several therapeutic
  • areas evaluating health care interventions with 5+ years of that research experience conducting health economics, health related quality of life and epidemiology studies in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Has substantial technical knowledge and extensive experience of planning and delivering HEOR programs, particularly launch deliverables, economic modelling and RWD studies, across multiple therapeutic areas, with significant experience in the oncology area. Has wide professional networks and established reputation within external OR community.
  • Has wide experience and knowledge of the external OR/Clinical/Regulatory/ Reimbursement environment
  • and has made substantial and innovative contributions to the development and direction of the Outcomes Research discipline. Demonstrated track record of progressive contribution through scientific publications, posters, presentations in clinical and/or health services journals/conferences.
