Job Description:

Leidos is excited about our continued work with the Department of Transportation. We are seeking a Senior VMWare System Administrator to work within the Server Engineering team supporting the Infrastructure and Operations Hosting Environment. This position will require expert experience in Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud, and scripting experience to support our Federal Government customer. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as documentation skills and perform with minimal supervision.

Tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Working experience building scalable, highly available, mission critical virtual infrastructures
  • Experience should include designing, implementing and managing multiple virtual environments & vlans
  • Experience or working knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies helpful.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Backup technologies helpful
  • Multi-site environment experience.

Education and Certifications
  • The position requires a BS Degree and must have a minimum of 8 years of experience supporting server virtualization technology, specializing in VMware systems. However, additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have experience leading technical team supporting system operations. Must possess a Data Center Virtualization certification or equivalent. Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019 Administration (MCSE, MCITP certification) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)
