This role is responsible for overseeing the Sourcing Analytics and GEP Performance Analytics capabilities supporting Global Procurement. This is a position within our Sourcing Excellence (SE) group where you will have the opportunity to build & execute SE Analytics roadmap. This includes working with Procurement team, Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A) team and Enterprise Leaders to develop data driven insights focused on suppliers, contracts, spend, savings, and forecasting.

This role is accountable for ensuring the SE Analytics and GEP Performance Analytics activities within Sourcing Excellence in close alignment to global supply / category strategies. This role is expected to maximize the value from 3rd parties beyond traditional procurement levers, including impact to revenue projects and sustainability targets. Additionally, this role is responsible for the administration of the sourcing excellence outsourcing relationships for select categories. This role requires close collaboration with Senior Leadership teams across Global Procurement.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional category leads and ensure that the teams executing Data Analytics and Supplier Management activities do so in a manner consistent with BMS category strategies
  • Oversee Sourcing Analytics and GEP Performance Analytics capabilities:
    • Work with the SE Analytics team to perform analytics activities (assess KPIs/metrics, prepare dashboards, etc.)
    • Work with the management to develop, evaluate, and manage internal relationships with Procurement, BI&A, Enterprise Information Management, and IT Teams to deliver solutions and data analysis by identifying business challenges
    • Provides guidance, training, and subject matter expertise to SE employees & on-site/offshore consultants in asking appropriate questions, selecting the right metrics, interpreting the data, and translating data into actionable recommendations
    • Work with the management to develop and implement standards to measure Sourcing Excellence performance and quality improvement
    • Work with the SE Analytics team for overseeing internal and market analytics to support development of strategic category plans
    • Work with Category Leaders to establish preferred supplier lists for each Category of spend and manage compliance to the preferred supplier list
    • Work on prioritized analytics on supplier spend, category spend, and pricing for high-risk items (to ensure compliance to contracts)
    • Work as an active team member to oversee taxonomy initiatives to rationalize big data into appropriate classifications to support informed decision making
    • Ensure execution of Risk Management measures (e.g., dual-sourcing, BCM, etc.)
  • Manage the oversight and administration of Sourcing Excellence outsourcing relationships, including:
    • Ensuring adherence to BMS processes, methodologies, tools, and standard of excellence
    • Allocation of capacity to sourcing projects based on defined criteria (e.g., Tiering of sub-category)
  • Identify and drive 3rd party enabled transformational opportunities, including enablement of value-driven activities, revenue realization, and sustainability targets
  • Oversee Sourcing Excellence outsourcing / 3rd party relationships for select categories
    • Monitor and track performance of outsourcing providers against service level agreements for select categories (e.g., Tier 3 or as aligned with BPS leadership)
    • Collaborate with leads to continuously improve ways-of-working and mutual value from relationship
    • Manage day-to-day relationship with program lead, including issue escalation and resolution
    • Define development plans to improve specific areas as needed
  • Build and maintain networks within and outside of the organization to both strengthen their understanding of the big picture and leverage diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise to maximize performance
    • Uses knowledge of external and internal business factors to inform decisions
    • Ensures teams are responsible for contributing beyond their own function
    • Proactively connects teams, networks and individuals in order to increase organizational performance
