Accounting Specialist

This position is responsible for supporting in the full accounting cycle of BMS entities, including journal entries processing, preparation of account reconciliations and general ledger account analysis in accordance with US GAAP and Company’s policies and procedures. In addition, this position is responsible to support in processes and operation specifics for payroll, brands investment, sales related, fixed assets, and PO’s in accordance with related Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes and maintains subsidiaries for general ledger accounts under responsibility in accordance with GAAP and BMS policies and procedures in ART (Account Reconciliation Tool).
  • Prepares monthly journal entries and account analysis for accounts assigned.
  • Responsible for intercompany activities
  • Monitors Purchase Orders auto accrual process.
  • RAR expenses reclass journal entries for corporate claim.
  • Calculates and accruals annual gross-up imputed income as applicable
  • Prepare bank account reconciliations and proposes related adjustments.
  • Responsible for fixed assets tasks like monitoring capital projects, processing capitalization and disposal requests, inventory and tag process
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable reserve analysis in accordance with company’s policies.
  • Support financial analysis and reporting process for brands investment including system management
  • Workmen compensation payroll declaration
  • Prepares and file Sinot (non-occupational disability insurance ) returns on a quarterly basis.
  • Supports internal and external audits processes
  • Support any department task need as requested

Requirements /Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree Administration, Major in Accounting required
  • Five (5) years of working experience in Accounting field or Public Accounting.
  • Experience in the full accounting cycle. • Knowledge of Payroll related Labor Laws.
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish) • Strong proficiency in accounting systems (SAP knowledge preferred), and other computer applications (MS Office).
