Manager, XELJANZ US Marketing

Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a serious, debilitating, potentially life-threatening disease. Many patients struggle for years to secure a definitive diagnosis and may wait longer to find a treatment that brings sustained symptom relief. Xeljanz was approved in 2018 for the treatment of moderately to severely active Ulcerative Colitis and as such was the first oral JAK approved for this use. Xeljanz represents a vital treatment option for UC patients given its ability to provide rapid and sustained relief.

Despite progress in the last few years, significant unmet need remains in the UC category. Pfizer is wholly committed to the UC patient population and believes we can play an even greater role in this community. As such, we are re-launching the UC indication. This effort will be bolstered by increased HCP investment. This is a unique opportunity to help re-energize the UC indication while fulfilling an unsatisfied market with a Patients First approach.

The Xeljanz HCP Marketing Manager is a mission critical role that will be responsible for all Congress/Convention and Speaker Program strategy, content development, training and activation. HCP marketing experience, analytic and business planning skills, and the ability to inspire internal and external stakeholders are preferred.

The Xeljanz UC HCP Marketing Manager will be accountable for developing and executing HCP strategies and tactics that maximize customer engagement and drive Xeljanz UC growth. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the development of Congress/Convention strategy, messaging, content development and activation
  • Lead the development of Speaker Program strategy and pull through
  • Partner with PRT and Medical to identify and train speakers
  • Lead G-Force field advisory boards and gather insights to optimize HCP strategy, identify resource gaps and enable flawless field execution
  • Act as the Payer liaison and ensure appropriate message deployment and XelSource integration
  • Actively engage in research to stay current with customer needs
  • Ensure appropriate synergies and alignment across channels (e.g. HCP, DTC, and Sales)
  • Measure the impact of marketing initiatives and generate early learnings to drive continuous improvement to advance the brand's HCP activation model

Candidate demonstrates the ability to influence key stakeholders and collaborate with peers to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience required;
  • Ability to understand HCP needs and translate these into meaningful strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovative idea development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage timelines and dependencies
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining productive/collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of HCP marketing experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
