Senior Associate Finance


What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will play a key role in Operations finance, within the Functional Transformation Office (FTO). The FTO is responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis for Operations productivity.

This highly motivated individual will be primarily responsible for developing and executing financial analysis and business analytics for the productivity initiatives across Operations. The Senior Finance Associate will provide vital support for cross-functional financial, analytical, and reporting activities. This role will interact with a wide range of leadership and staff across Amgen.
  • Financial modeling and data analysis to support business transformation
  • Provide key support on multiple projects; formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations
  • Interact with various finance groups including functional FP&A to understand impact to budget/long range plans
  • Develop and use complex financial models to make decisions
  • Track financials and prepare periodic reports for ongoing initiatives
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree


Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Finance experience


Associate's degree and 6 years of Finance experience


High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Biotech/pharmaceutical experience
  • Financial, statistical or mathematical modeling experience
  • Excellent Excel/ PowerPoint skills are strongly preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Smartsheet experience a plus
