Technology Liaison, Enterprise Financial Reporting

Role Value Proposition:

This position is responsible for working within the Financial Data Management organization, within Enterprise Finance Reporting. Typical responsibilities will include but are not limited to: working with users across the Finance organization to develop and maintain reporting solutions, Essbase databases and utilizing enterprise reporting tools. Additional requirements include development of business and technical documentation, project timelines, and detailed designs for deploying reporting solutions through various frontend applications; Performance Analytics (Cubus), OAC, and SmartView.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current Essbase and reporting environments
  • Develop new Essbase applications as required to meet business needs
  • Provide metrics for executive reporting on system utilization
  • Development and support of ETL, data/metadata quality and automation
  • Individual will be expected to provide end user support for all tools and custom applications
  • Customer support for front end reporting deployments


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:
  • An understanding of OLAP and database technologies and various relational or multidimensional reporting strategies and tools is a must
  • 1-3 years of experience with business intelligence tools
  • 1-3 years of programming, ideally scripting - python, bash, batch, VB, SQL.
  • Fluent English language - written and verbal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Ability to interact with different levels of management
  • Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of related busines experience
  • Experience with ASO/BSO cubes and experience with creating calc scripts in Essbase
  • Experience with Linux, specifically RHEL or CentOS, and Windows server
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledgers and/or Oracle EPBCS, DRM and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
