Network Administrator II/III

Provide network support and computer system administration in support of a variety of hardware and operating systems, with a focus on Windows. Provide expertise in onboarding and configuration of cloud IaaS environments.

To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • Knowledge of virtualization, SAN, and server configuration, administration, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of desktop and server computer hardware and software products.
  • Knowledge of cloud IaaS architecture and management (AWS/Azure)
  • Skill in maintaining computer network and interconnectivity hardware and software in a secure manner and keeping abreast of current technologies.
  • Knowledge of software installation script development products.
  • Skill in organizing project tasks within time constraints.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to Model Argonne's Core Values: Impact, Safety, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork.

This level of knowledge is typically achieved through a formal education in network administration, information technology, or associated field. The selected individual will be placed in the appropriate level (PT2 or PT3) dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills brought to the position, as well as the amount of relevant experience. The basic requirements of the various levels are as follows:
  • PT2 Level: Bachelor's and 2+ years or equivalent
  • PT3 Level: Bachelor's and 4+ years or equivalent
