WGL Energy - Sales Support Administrator

WGL Energy is seeking an Sales Support Administrator/RFP Administrator to be based in our Tysons Corner, VA location. As a key member of the WGL Energy Public Sector team the Sales Support Administrator/RFP Administrator will be responsible for supporting the team's marketing and contracting efforts so as to maintain our best in class position in the industry. You will routinely interact with various operations marketing and sales groups as well as being a key contact for our current and prospect customers.

You Will

  • Create contracts and reports for monthly renewal list. Monitor contract status for Large Commercial Customers and affinity clients.
  • Create initial customer records and profiles and update information as needed. Maintain tracking history on all account transfers, assignments. Follow up with customer and brokers to provide post sale support.
  • Provide in-office support for Account Management staff. Serve as point of contact for Customers and Broker partners to assist with contract, billing, invoice questions. . Provide cost quotes relative to market fluctuations when Account Manager is in the field.
  • Follow-up with Customers and Brokers on behalf of Account Manager regarding status of resolution Contract proposals and tax issues, billing issues a
  • Obtain and verify customer usage data from utility, WGL Energy Systems, and/or Operations so as to create contract opportunities and cost savings analyses
  • Maintain WGL Energy customer record data entry and coordinate with Marketing and Operations to support the proper delivery of customer correspondence to include memos, newsletters, marketing information, interruption notices, etc. utilizing, email, phone and mailings.
  • Serve as a key participant for the further development of business intelligence systems to include enhancements to the Indicative Pricing Tool, Document Management System, Energy management Platform, and CRM system as they relate to the B2B functions. As part of a team test new IT systems or enhancements and provide feedback.
  • Regularly Interface with other departments to develop new programs and/or procedures involving large commercial accounts. Meet regularly with Account Managers and Supervisor, to review status of projects, and ensure project objective meets all expectations.
  • Ensures the delivery of Broker correspondence including RFP's, Broker addendums, memoranda, marketing information, account cancellations, interruption notices, and curtailments.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related discipline or comparable work experience preferred with a minimum two years in sales support and customer service/administrative work.
  • Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office applications, to share, retrieve, research, analyzes and present business information.
  • Proficiency in web-based applications, Oracle, Act, Sales Force, and Goldmine experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform with a high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse internal and external audiences at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
