Director, U.S. Multiple Myeloma Account Marketing / US Oncology, Hematology


Currently, Pfizer's Hematology portfolio is a leader in Leukemia with inlineproducts in AML, CML, and ALL including core brands Bosulif, Besponsa, Mylotarg and Daurismo. Pfizer's hematology portfolio has expanded to include our B-Cell Maturation antigen (BCMA) targeted bi-specific antibody, PF-06863135 for the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Multiple Myeloma is highly prevalent with substantialmortality (66%) and high rate of relapse on therapies currently considered Standard of Care. The current Multiple Myeloma marketplace has an estimated value of ~ $32Bin most major markets by 2024. GivenB-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is a novel target that is highly active in MM. This role provides a unique opportunity to join Pfizer's hematology team as we build in this new therapeutic area and bring PF-0683135 to patients.

Pfizer Hematology is preparing for US Launch in Multiple Myeloma in Triple Class Refractory with subsequent launches in earlier lines to follow. Given a highly competitive market, s uccess will rely on Speed to market, Robust clinical data, and to Establishing Pfizer leadership in multiple myeloma.

As Pfizer Oncology continues to embrace Bold Move 3.3 and the importance of Institutional Archetypes, a heightened focus in Account marketing will be critical. Organized providers and advanced customers - i.e., IDNs, Large Group Practices, key accounts, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), payers, and specialty pharmacies (SPPs) - will be a priority for PF-0683135 as they play a critical role in advancing standardization of care for MM in a rapidly evolving marketplace. The MM Account Director position will lead the marketing strategy specifically focused on key account customers. They will drive the strategic planning and vision for engagement with this critical customer through an omnichannel approach and in keeping with current Field Force Alignment. They will serve as the point of contact for the KAM and Customer Marketing Teams. This position will play a critical role in assessing and analyzing account-specific business trends and developing innovative approaches and solutions to ensure a successful launch of PF-0683135 in triple-class refractory MM and future indications.

This position requires strong strategic and analytical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills, and agility to learn and work across multiple stakeholders including the Key Account Management teams and the Field Sales teams. This individual needs to manage multiple priorities, have attention to detail, collaborate across the enterprise, and learn from and improve upon existing processes or develop/implement new processes, where appropriate.Presentation, situation/organizational awareness, and negotiation skills are imperative for success.

  • Develop Organized Customer strategic vision and go-to-market model including pre-launch initiatives to ensure day-1 readiness, KAM structure/resourcing and day-1 promotional resourcing
  • Develop and prioritize key initiatives to create clear and compelling brand differentiation and to bolster PF-0683135 value proposition to account customers
  • Lead holistic access strategy and execution: aligning payer, provider, GPO and guidelines/pathways access information to uncover key opportunities for launch success and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to pilot innovative solutions/ action plan accordingly
  • Build innovative and compelling value proposition for key decision makers influencing development of guidelines and pathways
  • Lead contracting strategy and execution across payers and GPOs and collaborate with x-functional colleagues across PCA/SAS and ONC groups to ensure launch success in highly competitive market
  • Fully embrace and lead organizational transformation to omnichannel marketing within Oncology customer archetypes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless access to PF-0683135; monitor financial barriers, optimize resources and tools, and assess payer and GPO contracting efforts
  • Serve as brand lead for pricing strategy, evaluating scenario-based pricing model
  • Coordinate and align work across cross-functional and marketing colleagues, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical alignment

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing
  • HCP, Payer and/or Key Account management experience preferred
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Brand launch experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
