ROLE SUMMARY

The Pfizer Digital, Global Information Security (GIS) team delivers three core capabilities for Pfizer - Intrusion Detection & Analysis, Threat Intelligence, and Digital Forensics and Insider Threat detection (DFIT). The Data Loss Prevention Analyst (DLP) role provides the DFIT team detection and alerting capabilities from within a SIEM environment using a variety of log sources. Additionally, the Data Loss Prevention Analyst will aid the DFIT team in conducting analysis of network and host logs and data, in accordance with SOP guidelines. This position requires the highest levels of integrity, the ability to protect confidential information and operate within all policies, procedures, and work instructions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Building out new detections to identify suspicious behaviors within Data Loss Prevention tools and a SEIM environment
  • Tuning and altering detections currently in place to provide improvements derived from ongoing investigations.
  • Work with internal customers to plan and execute new detections.
  • Determine tools and procedures required for to complete the assigned task.
  • Ability to clearly and thoroughly document the repeatable action taken during your implementation.
  • Work with other team members to provide guidance and assistance.
  • Provide written and verbal status updates to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with Industry standard Data Loss Prevention and SEIM technologies.
  • Conduct research into project-related issues.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration using python.
  • Ability to manage concurrent task and work in a high pace environment.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and office.
  • Essential the candidate can work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Security Cyber Security Computer Forensics, or Behavioral Analysis
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in a large multi-national corporation
  • Experience working with large datasets and identifying discreate behaviors within log data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High personal Integrity
  • Understanding of European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or European Privacy laws is preferred
  • Experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate detections, solution capabilities, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in effective and efficient time and resource management
  • Capable of independently handling complex, large volume, and previously un-encountered situations
  • Must be able to research and apply appropriate technologies to different scenarios
  • Can develop strategies to improve efficiency and consistency of service delivery

  • Standard work schedule & 10% travels required.
  • Forensic support globally which may require unsocial hours to address matters or attend meetings in different time zones
