Technology Project Management/ Technical Agile Lead

Technical Agile Lead jobs are accountable for successful delivery of Technology projects and ensuring benefits realisation. Project outputs may form part of a technology-based change programme, delivery of a technology-only Programme, or may be standalone. The scope of projects may be global and may span multiple HSBC business areas.

The Technical Agile Lead role will hold most or all of these responsibilities:
  • Running the project approach, building stakeholder consensus around the project plan, commitments and changes
  • Supporting Technology teams to lead delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget
  • Working with the Technology team and Product Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies
  • Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Also, making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
  • Carrying out process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development
  • Ensuring adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs
  • Establishing effective governance and controls, in line with Business Transformation Framework, and co-ordinating cross DevOps and cross Global Business/Global Functions delivery as needed


Qualifications

  • Must have strong Agile Project Management skills, include knowledge of Digital Jira and Confluence
  • 10+ years prior project management experience
  • Mortgage knowledge/experience highly desirable
  • 5 years of proven experience Sprint Planning preparation and facilitation
  • Strong Scrum Master Skills including be not limited to the following: Clearing obstacles, Establishing an environment where the team can be effective, Addressing team dynamics, Ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team, Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions
