The Clinical Administration Coordinator team is responsible for receiving clinical information, uploading ECAA, and sending to the inpatient RN for clinical review.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00:pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. We offer 8 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversees a team of 14-18 Direct Reports
  • Manages the day to day operations of all daily activities
  • Sets team priorities to ensure all tasks are completed
  • Oversees all daily/monthly operational metrics including but not limited to:
  • Include but not limited to Staff Quality, Staff Productivity, Staff Idle/locked time
  • Develops action plans to address all goals
  • Works with staff on developmental goals to meet overall Corporate goals and objectives
  • Ensures all decisions are guided based on written standard operating procedures and job aids
  • Collaborates with both internal and external customers and resolves issues timely
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to gain efficiencies in process

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of health care or health plan experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Windows based PC Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) ability to create, edit, save and send spreadsheets, documents and email.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Willingness to work flexible work schedule as needed
  • Ability to work core business hours within the Mountain Standard time zone
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business or related health care field.
  • Proficient in advanced PC-based software programs
  • Ability to perform ICD-9, CPT and HCPC coding-remove

Soft skills:
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Functions well in a team environment. Acts as a team player and is accountable to the team for helping to meet all goals/objectives.
  • Detail oriented
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
