As a valued colleague on our team, you will help define the direction of the company's social impact strategy. You will be responsible for working with teams across the single and multifamily businesses to set and deliver against goals on racial equity, housing stability and affordable housing. You will be part of the company's Environment, Social Governance organization that is dedicated to delivering positive mission and community outcomes to serve homeowners and tenants. this role, you will help the business' efforts to link their own strategic objectives to our overarching goal of meeting the nation's affordable housing needs. The Environmental, Social and Governance - Portfolio Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively across single family and multifamily business units to design and implement strategies that improve access to affordable housing, improve housing stability and reduce racial disparities within the mortgage market.
  • Facilitate strategy and impact assessment processes with multiple teams, create work plans with business units to execute against the strategy and monitor progress and challenges.
  • Measure and describe impact of initiatives in reports for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, the Federal Housing Finance Agency and ESG investors.
  • Represent Fannie Mae externally with stakeholders and the Federal Housing Finance Agency

As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise team members on methods and processes for managing several projects and/or products to meet organizational goals. In this role, you will provide advanced analytical support to make decisions regarding resources, timing, scope, priorities, risks, and opportunities. You will develop processes to enhance coordination with other teams and ensure support of the portfolios.



Minimum Required Experiences
  • 6 years
  • Expert-level knowledge of energy efficiency or climate resilience and housing
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

Desired Experiences
  • Active engagement with housing practitioners and knowledge of emerging best practices and policy trends within affordable housing.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects in a timely and cost-effective manner; able to drive delivery execution.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and negotiate with key internal stakeholders through proactive engagement to meet aggressive timelines and business objectives.
  • Collaborative working style and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of team's work product.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good business judgment.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to write clearly and persuasively about business topics, and effective presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Skilled at leveraging quantitative data to better understand problems and to inform solutions
  • Experience setting organizational strategy and priorities
  • Strong facilitation skills
