We have a dynamic job opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer located in Manassas, VA. In this role you will support the Airborne Reconnaissance Low - Enhanced (ARL-E) program; ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. In this role, you will perform integration and maintenance of the Airborne ISR (AISR) system. As a part of a multi-company team, you will integrate Mission Equipment Payloads into aircraft, perform system checkout and support the Test & Evaluation team throughout the Contractor Testing and system fielding. The ARL-E team is geographically separated with primary duty locations in Aberdeen, MD and Manassas, VA. This position reports to the Mission Integration Lead Engineer, located in Aberdeen, MD.

THE CHALLENGE
-Assist leadership with the technical oversight, and day-to-day design, development, integration, and testing of a hardware and software system architecture to support the AISR system.
-Integrate with deep understanding of, and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts, and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas within airborne avionics and data links, manage integration processes, and the ability to identify innovative solutions to extremely complex, multi-faceted technical problems.
-Technical Integration of government and contractor primary mission equipment
-Testing equipment and creating/updating documentation associated with integration activities

-Coach and review work performed on the mission equipment payload of junior technicians
-Responsible for aircraft platforms for multiple subsystems within the platforms
-Troubleshoot mission equipment payload to isolate system faults and perform repairs
-Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with PMO staff, working with IPT Leads, and Engineering staff, to develop analysis and understanding of the impact on end-product/solution

WHAT SETS YOU APART (job qualifications)
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; additional years of related work experience required in lieu of a degree.
- Civilian and/or military experience with Airborne programs
- Possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook).
- A minimum of 50% travel may be required to support activities at each of the primary duty locations as well as CONUS test ranges.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
- A current DoD Top Secret to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a final Top Secret/SCI clearance

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE (preferred)
