Overview

  • Performs a wide variety of professional level human resources activities in functions in an employee services function which includes development of job descriptions, benefits support, training, on-boarding, personnel transactions and other related areas.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
  • Handles the new hire employee orientation for all employees going through the N m-IRDO in relation to assignment provisions, benefits and any other employment related questions.
  • Facilitates communication between employees and management to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
  • Generally specializes within two or more assigned areas of human resources.
  • Develops Job Descriptions for all LOGCAP V positions and coordinates with Hiring Managers for input.
  • Interprets human resources policies for supervision, counseling employees concerning work related problems and conducting termination interviews;
  • Prepares company benefit brochures and conducting employee orientations; preparing and presenting unemployment claims; developing programs and similar tasks.
  • Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares recommendations on assigned projects.
  • Provides assistance to line management regarding human resources practices.
  • May provide technical guidance to lower level staff.
  • Assists with the administering compensation and benefit plans in coordination with corporate and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with appropriate stakeholders on implementing and revising HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the transition of LOGCAP V projects in preparation and execution of all HR services related functions.
  • Assists with DCAA Audit Requests which include providing reports and data to the HR Supervisor for walk-through with DCAA.
  • Analyzes system to resolve all issues and escalate all customer issues to management to provide efficient resolution to the program.
  • Maintains the retention of LOGCAP V employees human resource records by ensuring all the proper documents are maintained in each employees personnel files.
  • Completes Accuracy and compliance review of all new hire documents are completed and properly filed, among other tasks.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory Qualifications:
    • As a precondition to charge more than 50% of their time to LOGCAP, must be able, willing and ready to deploy to domestic and international locations, including on a temporary basis and or as a member of the Vectrus Rapid Deployment Team (RDT). These locations can include austere, remote, and hazardous areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • In order to qualify for this position, you must be fully vaccinated prior to the start of your assignment and show proof of your vaccination status, unless you are legally entitled to an accommodation (religious or medical).

      The definition of fully vaccinated is that you've: 1.) received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and 2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Must have CAC eligibility
    • Must have passport and ability to travel international.
  • Experience:
    • Two (2) Years experience in an HR Generalist role.
    • Practical knowledge of assigned HR functional areas.
    • Previous experience working on a Government Contract or LOGCAP would be a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong Interpersonal skills
    • Excellent Communication ability
    • Skilled working in a team-orientated environment and able to demonstrate strong customer service skills
    • Communicates professionally orally and in writing
    • HR certification would be a plus
    • Previous knowledge in an HRIS systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.)
  • Working Conditions:
    • Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures and war zones.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Work may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
