Master Production Scheduler
Site Name: Guayama JV Posted Date: Oct 13 2021 As a Master Production Scheduler you will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand and and the site capacity planning function for over $100 million annual cost of goods sold (COGS) production site. You will manage, report inventory, cycle time and other supply chain key performance indicators. The incumbent will form part of the Site Supply Chain team reporting to the Director/TL Supply Chain and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Central Component (ECC) planning and distribution modules. These responsibilities include some of the following: Accountable for the development and modifications on a weekly basis of the MPS in response to planned and unplanned forecast demand, forecast increases, shortfalls, marketing promotions, site engineering projects, new product launches, production and inventory requirements. Collaborate regularly with planner/schedulers to make certain both near and long-term planning horizons are planned and scheduled to achieve product supply / delivery targets for brands supporting Pain, DH, VMS categories Collaborate regularly with project/process/maintenance engineers to ensure equipment projects and maintenance are included in the capacity plan and do not adversely affect supply or inventory. Develop annual capacity plans for Facility Master Plan (FMP) and various Long-Term Capacity Planning (LTCP) scenarios. Leads site Sales & Operations Planning (SRM/S&OP) process. Coordinates with supply hub for Hub S&OP inputs. Develop detailed capacity analysis and alternate scenarios to support in-sourcing, site expansion, and new product launches. Proactively communicates significant demand and supply changes up and down the supply chain upon ccurrence. Serve as primary communications focal point for all external customers (distribution centers, supply hub, customer service, demand planning, global inventory management) regarding site inventory and supply. Serve as site lead for resolving Supply Chain Issues Management (SCIM) at the SCIM-1 and SCIM-2 levels. Provide inputs on executive one-pages for escalations to the SCIM-3 and SCIM-4 levels. Responsible for projections and metrics tracking for capacity utilization, staffing requirements, customer on-time in-full (OTIF), inventory levels, inventory turns, cycle times, and production make frequency. Publish weekly SNAPSHOT (site key Supply Chain KPI's) via Powerpoint and PowerBI. Owner of the Power BI space for Supply Chain (accuracy, weekly updates & management). Site inventory champion. Owner and manager of the inventory projections model. Prepare detailed 2 year+ inventory projections for finance and site management including inventory reduction initiatives. Provide detailed analysis of risks and opportunities for inventory reduction. Monitor inventory and act to ensure site meets inventory targets at inventory category level. Works closely with buyers to insure targeted raw material and component inventory levels are maintained to projections and targets. Perform detailed traceability and distribution analysis for Quality Incidents for both above-site Product Incident Review Committee (PIRC) requests and site Local Incident Committee (LIC) requests. Serve as site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for batch traceability and distribution for product recall assessments for current MERP-SAP system and legacy Fusion and SAP systems. Support external customers (procurement, quality, other manufacturing sites & planning hub) in SAP reporting and data extraction for analysis and metric development. Lead projects to improve supply chain reporting and agile data-driven decision making. Manage allocation of site production and shipments annually to US distribution centers and international customers ensuring that site shipment projections are accurate and to the correct distribution center per inventory target. Work with various logistics groups to resolve any issues. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals Bachelor Degree in Materials Management or Industrial Engineering. 3 years plus experience of Master Production Scheduling or comparable experience 2 years plus experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency requirements as related to scheduling activities Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience utilizing MRP software, like SAP, managing the detail scheduling and capacity planning process. Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) experience preferred. Advance knowledge of production and capacity planning, shop floor control and inventory control Knowledge of cGMPs; Knowledge of Lean/six sigma methodology, Green Belt Certification, desirable Systems knowledge: ability to navigate data systems; demonstrated ability to learn new systems (ie SAP/APO); Knowledge of the production process (manufacturing and packaging) Knowledge in planning process in general Knowledge in change management process, Project Management Skills; Familiar with budget process Why GSK?
