The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis provides financial planning and analysis support for Abbott's Corporate FP&A group. This high visibility role owns the preparation of several ongoing key deliverables to our senior corporate finance executives, such as the monthly Executive Staff package, the Board of Directors financial update materials and other analytics including those used in support of the preparation of the quarterly earnings release. This position also plays a leading role in support of Corporate finance initiatives.

  • Prepare key senior executive deliverables, such as the monthly Executive Staff package and Board of Directors financial updates material.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarter-end activities including analytics relating to Earnings Release preparations.
  • Provide meaningful financial analysis (P&L, profitability, Sales Growth, etc.) on a Division and Country level basis to Senior Corporate management.
  • Lead FP&A initiatives in a project manager capacity (e.g. Goal Grading, Affiliate Profitability Analysis, Corporate Costs Topside Allocation process).
  • Work closely with the Investor Relations and Divisions FP&A teams and provide guidance on Corporate requests.
  • Prepare ad-hoc Sales Reporting and Analysis of Actuals, Plan and Latest Best Estimates.
  • Position includes the management of 1 Sr. Financial Analyst with the possibility to growing team in future.
  • Travel required 0%-10%


  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years' experience.CPA, CMA or MBA preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in financial systems including Hyperion Essbase and HFM.
  • Proven ability to implement a business process change using strong project management techniques, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous people management or supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Operate independently and adaptability to changing requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate major themes in Abbott's business as applicable to CFP&A deliverables and intended audience.
