New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a division of New Jersey Resources, is seeing a Pipeline Safety Awareness Administrator to develop, implement and communicate Pipeline Safety Awareness Programs in accordance with Federal and State Regulatory Guidelines and industry consensus standards and best practices.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, organize, track pipeline safety messages, distributed to residents, excavator communities, first responders, public and municipal officials in our franchise territory
  • Represent NJNG at various trade shows, conferences, and events
  • Perform event planning activities for damage prevention fairs and events, create flyers and outreach materials to support
  • Create partnerships within NJNG and our sister companies to jointly organize Pipeline Safety Programs
  • Create social media posts for targeted messaging; track and analyze effectiveness
  • Prepare and conduct surveys gauging effectiveness improvements.
  • Conduct meetings with schools, municipal and public officials, first responders, housing association, trades people to promote pipeline safety awareness
  • Prepare and analyze reports for regulatory submission and participate in program audits
  • Partner with corporate communications to develop efficient messaging
  • Update the "My Safety" section of the NJNG website


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in communications, marketing or other related field is preferred
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of related experience required; will consider additional related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills a must
  • Proficient in creating presentation materials using various software
  • Proficient in the use of social media and on-line services
  • Must be a people person as the position require interaction with both internal and external audiences.
  • Must be able to travel and hold off-hour meetings.
