Job Description

The Environmental, Social and Governance - Portfolio Management - Advisor Duty to Serve - Affordable Housing Preservation role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Influences and engages with a range of internal and external partners including SF, MF and Capital markets business teams, legal and credit teams, for-profit and not for profit borrowers, municipalities, lenders, investors, and funding entities to facilitate delivery of objectives as prescribed by our Duty to Serve Plan.
  • Supports the development and implementation of new approaches and initiatives that leverage diverse mortgage financial products to address the preservation of affordable housing.
  • Manages a portfolio and pipeline of active investments in collaboration with internal Single-family and Multifamily business partners.
  • Frequent engagement with the public and regulatory entities to communicate the impact on initiatives and progress on plan deliverables.
  • Design systematic approach to collecting and reporting on project or operation data.
  • Review and analyze data collected by the team.
  • Recommend objectives of projects or products.
  • Review performance of product or project teams.
  • Refine goals, guidelines, objectives, and timelines for teams as needed.

As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise team members on methods and processes for managing several projects and/or products to meet organizational goals. In this role, you will provide advanced analytical support to make decisions regarding resources, timing, scope, priorities, risks, and opportunities. You will develop processes to enhance coordination with other teams and ensure support of the portfolios.



Minimum Required Experiences
  • Knowledge and/or experience in real estate and/or affordable housing lending.
  • 6 years
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
    • BA - Housing, Finance, Real Estate

Desired Experiences
  • Experience in the underwriting or origination of Multifamily financing products preferable.
  • MA - Business Administration, Housing Finance, Real Estate with at least 6 years of experience working in real estate and/or affordable housing preferred.
  • Experience in designing and executing mortgage financing products including LIHTC's, Conventional and Government housing programs.
  • Experience in the underwriting or origination of Multifamily financing products preferable.


Communication skills including communicating in writing or verbally.
Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
Business Insight skills including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
Operational Excellence skills including improving and overseeing operations
Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
Performance Measurement skills including evaluating programs, evaluating vendors, and defining and measuring KPIs
Product Development skills including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
Sales, Marketing, and PR skills including marketing products.
Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Experience using SharePoint
Skilled in Microsoft Teams
Experience using Microsoft Project
Skilled in Excel
