Student Assistant


We are seeking to hire a part-time Student Assistant to join the Child and Adult Neurodevelopmental Clinic (CAN). The clinic accepts pediatric and adult patients with a broad variety of neurodevelopmental (e.g. Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities), and psychiatric (e.g. depression, anxiety, bipolar, oppositional defiant) disorders. Primary duties include:
  • Assist with patient intakes over the phone consisting of screening, tracking, and referral of patients and all callers
  • Coordinate appointments for patients
  • Assist with clinic filing systems
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as requested

Must be a current UCLA student

Ability to assist with data entry for research studies

Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients and the public at all times

Ability to schedule patient and administrative appointments accurately

Skill at prioritizing assignments and ability to work concurrently on several projects

Ability to function effectively with several interruptions

Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with direction

High level ability in the use of a PC using all Windows applications

Ability to maintain confidentiality in the strictest sense.
