Job Description
Works under limited direction and guidance of the Department Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for accurate preparation and timely processing of deliverable reports for two plant locations and the input of those reports into a government system. The individual will review moderately complex contracts and modifications for use in preparation of the deliverable reports and provide regular status updates to management.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Creates error free deliverable reports to submit to the government.
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets to track deliverables and statuses.
  • Maintains the government database of Unique Identification numbers for products to satisfy DFAR requirements, ensuring compliance for audits.
  • Works within own department but can interface with other departments/functions to receive information to complete tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment .
  • ​ Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
  • Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
  • Coordinating task/projects for the materials department, process mapping, process flow, and working cross functionally with other departments.
  • Data mining, historical research of individual part numbers within ERP/MRP.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • HS Diploma or GED, with 1-3 years of direct experience with DFAR or transferable skills within government contracts or production data work.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Good planning, time management and organization skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing and coordinating.
  • Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
  • Proficiency in use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database development programs (such as WORD, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal and State Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
  • ERP/MRP experience
  • DATA mining
  • Knowledge of material flow from receipt, storage, through shipment
  • Knowledge of process/value stream mapping
