Our Diagnostics business currently has an opportunity for an Software Engineer . The primary function is to develop software for an automated IVD system for blood and plasma screening. The position can be based in our Lake County, IL or Irving, TX office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will participate in a team-oriented environment to define and develop user interface, business rules, and data management applications.
  • Software development responsibilities include executing software development life cycle activities from software requirements, design and implementation through design verification.
  • Develop, test and integrate software using current software technologies.
  • Responsible for fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities during system integration and testing for systems in development and on-market.
  • Able to apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques as required.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team to realize subsystem designs, assisting in the preparation of software design requirements and documenting work products via software design descriptions, design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, and formal verification.
  • Assist in investigation of on-market issues and identification of corrections.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field.
  • Solid understanding of .NET/C#, WCF, WPF/XMAL, etc.
  • Experience developing Windows Desktop applications utilizing .NET framework
  • Experience with unit testing and mocking environments
  • Database development experience using SQL Server is a plus
  • Strong Objected Oriented Analysis and Design skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.


Required:
  • Minimum Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • 1 year of experience (relevant internships will be considered as experience)
