Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serving as an evangelist among cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to ensure buy-in of priorities and maximize overall value of product
  • Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
  • Responsible for the full product lifecycle management, with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products
  • Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs as well as emerging technology developments and trends to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings
  • Balances deep subject matter expertise in the product, business use cases and solid technical aptitude
  • Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs
  • Accountable to and/or own the P&L
  • Responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices
  • Positions in this function may require a background or degree in computer science or engineering

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience translating business needs and requirements into product requirements, features and functionality
  • Experience defining and tracking product KPIs to measure success/outcome
  • Able to perform capability and product gap analysis and translate into artifacts
  • Experience in driving the product management lifecycle and design and development of end-to-end products and workflows; drive and support integration strategies and approaches, persona development and journey mapping experience
  • Experience with product management tools like AHA! and Rally
  • Experience in managing and overseeing financial management of product and product portfolios such as but not limited to product related profit and loss optimization (revenue, operational cost, etc.)

  • Project, portfolio and program management
  • Graphic design and presentation development experience
  • Product market research experience
  • Data strategy and experience with interface engines
  • Interoperability, product integration, cloud and EMR subject matter expertise
  • Cloud and portal experience
  • Clinical and operational workflow experience
  • Business development experience
  • Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of team/organization, vendors and third parties

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
