Import/Export Specialist - Customer Service

Site Name: Guayama JV Posted Date: Nov 10 2021 As a Import/Export Specialist / Customer Service Team Leader you will be responsible for assuring on time product delivery API, SFG, FG and miscellaneous to Customers Worldwide. The product must meet customer's quality, quantity, and delivery terms. You will liaise with other operational areas such as planning, compliance, new product, and others to support the assurance of product supply, You will manage, review and distribute demand, purchase orders and market forecast. The incumbent will control and monitor the customs clearance declaration process following local and federal regulations. Also, is responsible for other transportation issues that require specialized knowledge. Importing and exporting of GMP material, which requires special shipment details. Monitor customs and transportation invoices. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Provide guidance to shipping team Responsible for consolidation and analysis of forecast and demand for the markets. Accountable for the coordination with internal/external areas (planning, quality, regulatory, warehouse, etc.) to assure product is available on time and meeting with customers' requirements. Accountable for maintaining customers informed of all issues that might impact their operations including projected delays, supply interruptions and stock outs caused by capacity constraints, quality issues, deviations or transportation issues. Responsible for monitoring measuring and reporting determined Key Success factors for Customer Service for its assigned region. Will publish status and WOC for the Export Markets. Responsible of issues resolutions of its assigned region in a timely manner. Maintains thorough knowledge of its assigned region situation at all times, but not limited to, as a backup of other regional colleagues. Responsible of monitoring, measuring and reporting Service Level Metrics for the Guayama site. Assures each CS location complies with export market product delivery requirement meeting quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. Attend and Support PNS (Logistics Planning) meetings project until launches are completed. Completes systems transactions such as order/forecast entry, order processing and lot allocation. Prepare Import documentation to the US Customs Broker as needed. Provide documentation to Federal and/or Local Government agencies and maintain records to assure customs compliance. Perform data entry in SAP, SRM, Plateau, Service Requests, Work Orders, PDOCS and any other electronic supporting systems as required. Generate standard operating procedures changes using the electronic system. Enforce quality and compliance policies, procedures and regulations and recognizes quality performance and behavior. Performs safety and SOP training to the Logistics areas. Establish and maintain a traffic guide and enforce the use of it. Compile and report traffic data related to costs to the Transportation Council to assist in the evaluation of existing or new carriers. Establishes claims for damages of in-transit material, and follow-up to recover such costs. For Purchasing items, will determine the proper classification as per the Harmonized Classification Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSU). Act as a liaison for Customs, FDA, USDA; facilitate and assist with regulatory issues in conjunction with Technical Services, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Customs brokers and consultants. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals Bachelor's degree (BBA, BA, BS or related field) with 5 plus years experience in the following areas: Supply Chain/Import-Export Compliance/ Foreign Trade Zone Management or Associate degree (business administration, Science or related field) with 10 plus years experience in the following areas: Supply Chain/Import-Export Compliance/ Foreign Trade Zone Management. or Master's degree with 3 plus years experience in the following areas: Supply Chain/Import-Export Compliance/ Foreign Trade Zone Management. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Deep knowledge of local and global regulations covering all kind of Import and Exports activities is essential. Experience/Knowledge in foreign trade activities and logistics. Technical Experience: Strong SAP sales and distribution and warehouse and distribution knowledge. Direct experience with the import/ export's operations: Import and export planning & development Maintenance of Import & Exports Files requirements and applicable Regulations. Deep knowledge of International Trade Agreements as long as to keep a tight tracking of all regulatory changes concerning Import & Exports activities. Very strong communication skills (Spanish and English) both written and verbal. Strong English command is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving/decision making skills. Strong multi-tasking skills. Extremely organized, meticulous and detail oriented. Minimum supervision required Customer Service oriented Experience working with Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word. Why GSK?
