Position Summary:

Transports LifeBridge Health clientele and patients in a safe and courteous manner. This position will cover Employee Shuttle and Weekend courier route and other duties as assigned.

Hours are:
Monday-Friday 2:30PM-6:30PM with rotating weekends

Essential Functions:

Safety Observes safety principles for client safety.

  • Operates all vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Operates all wheelchair lifts, tie downs and seat belts. Performs and documents daily pre-vehicle inspection.
  • Properly handles Dry Ice.
  • Follows proper wheelchair training.
  • Adheres to the LifeBridge Health Administrative policy for vehicle operation, safety, service and maintenance.


  • Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate


1-3 years Technical/Clinical Skills (Usage): Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Communication Skills and Abilities: Physical Demands and Working Environment Physical Demands:
  • Wheelchair lift and wheelchair tie downs (Frequently)
  • Commercial Drivers License "P" endorsement (Frequently) Valid class "C" license
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively verbally.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.

Work Environment:
  • Heavy - Exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently to move objects.
  • Exposure to Weather - Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather.
  • Blood-Borne Pathogen Exposure - Contact Job - Potential exposure to patient blood and/or body fluid or air-borne contaminants
