Role Summary
  • This is a Digital role that will be the solutions delivery lead in the area of Managed Markets Finance.
  • This role will be the first Digital point of contact for the Managed Markets Finance business team with the GTN application and the role will work to resolve operational issues and develop system enhancements.
  • This role will be the first Digital point of contact for the Managed Markets Finance and Payer Channel & Access business teams with the Nexus Analytics application and the role will work to resolve operational issues and develop system enhancements as needed.
  • The ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills and be able to cultivate and maintain long-term, productive relationships with business owners in the Managed Markets Finance and Payer Channel & Access areas.
  • This role will help to guide and mentor Manager and Senior Associate level colleagues.
  • This role will work hands on within Oracle EPM Cloud - EPBCS (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), Oracle PL/SQL, AWS Glue (Python & PySpark), Aurora Database, S3 & Atlas, Spotfire
  • The role must be able to collaborate with partners and business clients in several areas of the Finance and Payer Channel & Access organizations to understand end to end business objectives and provide technology solutions to support these objectives.
  • This role will work with Digital and business leads across multiple work streams to define, create, and maintain end to end operational efficiencies and control.
  • This role will oversee consultants responsible for the delivery of new solutions and services.
  • This role will define solutions and services to be built to enable Business Unit strategies, goals and objectives.
  • This role will identify opportunities through analysis to apply technology and processes that will improve key business performance indicators.

Role Responsibilities

Operational Lead
  • Manage and deliver project and BAU operational solutions for Managed Markets Finance and Payer Channel & Access across varying business areas to support business objectives.
  • Provide a point of contact and accountability for the business.
  • Work with service providers to deliver solutions/projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Analyze business requests to determine how best to prioritize and create successful resolution.
  • Collaborate with other Client Partners and Digital Leadership to develop and execute technology strategy across functional areas of the business.
  • Facilitate technology initiatives which directly impact the business portfolio.

Solution Management
  • Define solution approach while gaining business and project team member buy-in.
  • Utilize experience with the System Development Life Cycle Process (SDLC).
  • Track and report progress relative to time, budget, and demonstrated results.
  • Communicate technical status, milestones, and issues to project sponsors.

People Management
  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with the business , management, and peers.
  • Able to influence other groups within organization without direct oversight responsibility.
  • Management of contracted resources.
  • Mentorship of Manager level and Senior Associate level colleagues.

Strategy / Thought Leadership
  • Connect interrelated groups, functions, and processes in an effort to drive value and efficiency across all supported areas .


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or the Computer Sciences
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Prior project management experience in a large complex corporate environment
  • 7+ years of experience in the Life Sciences Industry
  • 5+ years of Excel experience
  • 3+ years of PL/SQL experience
  • 3+ years of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) experience
  • System Development Life Cycle experience

  • Master's Degree or MBA a plus
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • Experience in the Finance area a plus
  • 2+ years in the Gross-To-Net area a plus

  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • Role demands travel between Pfizer locations, however, typically less than 20%.
  • Role may demand management of night and weekend work when projects are going live or issues are encountered in production.
