The primary function of this position is to lead innovation market research in the collection, analysis, synthesis, and storytelling presentations of insights to guide decisions for our Global product portfolio and strategies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Be a subject matter expert on customer and consumer insights to define business growth opportunities and marketing strategies.
  • Lead and guide the development and execution of qualitative and quantitative Primary Market Research among relevant stakeholders such as laboratory personnel and management, patients, consumer, new technology assessment committees, clinicians, allied health professionals, and public and private payors.
  • Develop voice of customer learning plans for new product development and established products.
  • Create and implement best practices for conducting primary marketing research and disseminating learning.
  • Ensure the most appropriate methodologies are used to ensure that Business Unit stakeholders have the most comprehensive understanding of Global customer and consumer needs and market trends.
  • Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the team and stakeholders.
  • Build related business case(s) to quantify the impact of new opportunities within the business.
  • Translate data and information into compelling insight stories that drive business decisions and growth.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's Degree: Market Research, Business, MBA, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.

Required
  • A minimum of 12 years working in a matrix environment with a track record of career growth.
  • Minimum 10 years in customer insights, market research, or competitive intelligence.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative market research for new product development, pricing, segmentation, and advertising development and measurement.
  • Creative business problem solving by analyzing situations and applying critical thinking to resolve.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills and the ability to influence senior levels of the organization and cross-functional teams.
  • Understand business and market levers and drive insights into actions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to periodically work evenings and weekends to complete time-sensitive assignments.

Preferred
  • Master's Degree: Market Research, Business, MBA, Psychology, Sociology, Economics.
  • Global customer insights experience in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
  • Retail, Consumer Package Goods, and Healthcare industry experience
