General Manager, Pharmacy - Health And Wellness Non-Store Operations (Specialty Pharmacy)

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Develops and drives initiatives by
  • studying industry trends
  • meeting with external colleagues to develop industry standards
  • identifying industry gaps.


Drives revenue-generating and cost avoidance initiatives by
  • working with regional and strategic business units to develop innovative initiatives that support the overall vision of the organization and driving implementation across all facilities.


Ensures the facility is operating according to federal, state, pharmacy board, and Walmart guidelines by
  • training associates
  • providing guidance to associates
  • maintaining multiple licenses to ensure shipment to all states
  • ensuring associates have the tools and knowledge to be fully compliant in their areas of operation.


Analyzes performance metrics within the facility by
  • studying the profit and loss (P&L) statement
  • collaborating with Finance to evaluate facility performance
  • touring store pharmacies with senior leadership
  • benchmarking against industry competitors


Identifies gaps within the facility and assigns corrective responsibility to direct reports by
  • utilizing gap analysis and six sigma techniques to improve the operating process
  • embedding a culture of lean operations within the facility.
