Product Development Advisor - Financial Strategy

Do you want to make a large impact in your next role? Join CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, as a Product Development Advisor, where you will support the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) product development process with a focus on financial and strategic review and high priority projects.

You will have the opportunity to support all PBM product verticals - Care Management, Clinical, Formulary, Retail/Mail, and Specialty - as well as any other projects that may arise. Your primary role will not be directly managing individual products through the development cycle, but rather will provide financial and analytic insight to the product leads, work to manage and prioritize ideas across the product development pipeline, and present our ideas/conclusions to senior leadership.

A strong working knowledge of all CVS Caremark market segments will be critical to your success. You will utilize your understanding of PBM and health care economics, as well as your understanding of how a new product might impact the various parties in the supply chain. You will also have the opportunity to build up an internal network of contacts to tap into the broad expertise spread across the organization.

The typical day to day duties of this position are:

- Data modeling of product ideas to determine potential financial impact to the CVS enterprise, our clients and vendors

- Taking learnings from that analysis to inform product design decisions and prioritize ideas within the pipeline

- Outreach to internal SMEs to ensure Product's ideation is based on up to date assumptions and market conditions

- Building Excel models or Power Point decks to present ideas to senior leaders

The preferred locations for this opportunity are Northbrook, IL; Scottsdale, AZ; Irving, TX; or Rhode Island. However, the location is flexible.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial strategy, product development or analytics to drive strategic decision making/recommendations (graduate level education may substitute)
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy or health care industry with demonstrated ability to think strategically about the industry
- Proficiency in standard PC software products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in product management, product marketing, operations, or financial roles in the health care business, or management consulting experience
- Experience pulling and modeling large data sets to drive key insights and decision making
- Familiarity with pharmacy benefit managers and the CVS/Caremark product portfolio

- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MHA, etc.)
