Senior Associate Scientist- Cell Banking

Job Description

  • You perform cell banking activities, utilizing aseptic technique in a GMP environment, includingcell culture thawingand expansions using batch production records and standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • You manage theexecution of cell bank growth characterization, development, and stability laboratory experiments. You also analyze cell bank data and managehistorical trending of data.
  • You assist with internal/external cell banking technology transfers and supportinternal/external audits as a cell bank subject matter expert.
  • You author cell bank documentation, including batch production record and solution lot record creation, production reports, growth characterization, stability technical reports and yearly evaluations.
  • You create global change controls for cell bank creation, process development and regulatory changes.


  • You have a technical understanding of mammalian cell culture appropriate to cell banking operations
  • You can workindependently and complete projects in an efficient and timely manner
  • You are comfortable analyzing scientific datasets and have experience with change controls and electronic document management systems

  • Bachelor’sin chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology or similar
  • Min. 4 years experience in biotech with experience in cell culture
