Head of EHS, RTP Pharma

Job Description

The Head, EHS RTP Pharma supports the management of all EHS aspects of operations ensuring compliance with all legal and other requirements, identification and mitigation of EHS risks, and management and mitigation of our environmental footprint.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify EHS risks and opportunities
  • Engages local regulatory agencies regarding permitting activities
  • Partners with site Leadership to review and interpret current and future environmental demands in connection with business requirements and pending legislation
  • Forecasts and plans department/business group requirements for EHS expenses, capital and personnel
  • Coordinates plant and departmental efforts in planning for potential emergency situations that could adversely affect employees, facilities, production, the community and the environment

Who You Are

You are a driven, strategic planner with a passion for and experience in crafting EHS programs aimed at influencing individuals throughout all levels of a major manufacturing site. Your advanced interpersonal skills allow you to work collaboritavely to deal with complex and sensitive issues related to the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, life sciences, environmental management, environmental engineering, or other similar field
  • Minimum of 12 years of environment, health and safety experience, preferably in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other health care industries
  • Advanced knowledge of EHS Management Systems
  • Experience coaching, developing, and managing a staff of professional employees
  • Skilled presenter and speaker in executive settings

In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
