Senior Manager, Risk Stewardship, US and Americas

As our Senior Manager, Risk Stewardship you will be dedicated to providing support to HR accountable People Risk Stewards in regions, empowering them to successfully oversee the management of People Risks. Plan, coordinate, and monitor delivery of Oversight via Regional People Risk Steward Oversight Plan. Maintain the Regional People Risk Steward Oversight Plan, aligned to Global Plan and covering the key Risk Steward Responsibilities. Coordinate the local annual review and approval of the plan, and consideration of any additional locally required activity. Monitor and report progress on delivering the Regional Risk Steward Oversight Plan to the regional HR RCMM.
  • Produce and present a quarterly People Risk Oversight Report to the regional HR RCMM, which includes an overview of the People risk profile in the region, an analysis of relevant 1st and 2nd line data points and reporting, and other content as appropriate across the risk steward responsibilities.
  • Complete any required sampling of 1st line Helios records to provide assurance to the Accountable People Risk Steward, and to identify any training needs.
  • Coordinate People Risk submissions, such as Risk Map, T&E risk, People risk papers, coordinating processes to review country submissions ensuring aggregated view of People Risk profile across the region.
  • Own the annual Policy Compliance Review, where local polices exist, coordinating the review with the Group HR Risk team.


Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
  • Degree holder or above in relevant subject areas
  • Extensive experience in a risk steward function
  • Build a detailed knowledge of HSBC Group operations and policies
  • Deepening knowledge of risk with ability to take a view on implications and changes to existing structures
  • Ability to handle sophisticated tasks with less supervision
  • Ability to adapt communication style and content to reflect the management level of the audience appropriately
