The Role at a Glance:

We are excited to bring on an Insights Consultant within Channel Data & Insights (LFD). This position is part of our Lincoln Preparation Program that starts in June 2022.

Position Details

As an Insights Consultant you will focus on delivering actionable market insights, research, and analysis to associates at all levels across all of Lincoln's business units and to those supporting different aspects of those units (e.g., product, marketing, sales, strategy, and others). You will be responsible for primary and secondary research focusing on financial professionals and transform data into purposeful insights that are understandable, accurate, and actionable.

About the Program

Lincoln Preparation Program (LPP) is a two-year development program designed to prepare high-performing, college graduates for strategic roles within our company. The goal is to accelerate the growth of associates within two years, providing them with the tools to take charge and further their career at Lincoln Financial Group. Program participants are placed within one business area for the entirety of the two-year program. At the end of the program, participants will have the option to stay on their current team or explore other open opportunities within the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and manage quantitative and qualitative research on Financial Professionals in support of Lincoln's various business units.
  • Analyze and synthesize industry data and primary research to provide clear takeaways.
  • Transform data into compelling visuals to tell a story and support audience understanding of key research insights.
  • Work directly with cross-functional teams and department leadership to execute research based on business objectives.
  • Become knowledgeable of all Lincoln business units (Annuities, Life, MoneyGuard, RPS, and LFN) as well as our distribution channels.


What we're looking for:

Must-haves:
  • Rising senior or recent graduate - must obtain 4 Year/Bachelor's degree by start date - Minimum Required
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Understands the principles of quantitative, qualitative, and design research methods.
  • A sense of curiosity and an interest in survey research.
  • Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage workload.
  • Ability to work in a team and create a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).


Nice-to-haves:
  • Specific survey tool experience with Qualtrics
  • Experience using tools like SPSS, SAS, R, or Tableau for data analysis

Work Arrangement

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
