The Defense Group at Leidos as an exciting opportunity as a Deputy Program Manager on our GSMO II IDIQ contract's Joint Service Provider (JSP) Cyber Security Task Order in Alexandria, VA. JSP provides a full range of IT products, services, and solutions and customer services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff (JS), Director of Administration (DA), Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), and other OSD offices for them to meet mission and business requirements. Through the JSP Cyber Security program, JSP performs a wide variety of services and functions required to secure the information security posture for DoD services.

This Task Order has 100+ FTEs working to ensure JSP's Cyber Security program adheres to JSP, DoD, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) approved cyber society, information assurance (IA) architecture, policies, programs, standards, and guidelines. The Deputy Program Manager is responsible for supporting the management of cost, schedule, quality and risk. The DPM must support, provide leadership, and have the interpersonal communication skills necessary to inspire and lead a complex and high-paced environment. The DPM will interface with senior JSP leaders, contracting officer, and the COR.

This task order is expected to be awarded in January with start of performance in February. This position has potential to start ahead of contract award in order to support transition in activities. An active TS/SCI clearance is required prior to start and this role will be based onsite in the Arlington, VA area.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties under the strategic and operational vision of the Program Manager
  • Responsible for financial, technical, administrative, contractual, and personnel aspects of the contract
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate contractor activities in accordance with the PWS
  • Work closely with third parties (e.g. other contractors, other Federal entities) to facilitate integrated mission support
  • Present regular executive briefings to the government on services provided on the contract (verbal and written)
  • Apprise Government stakeholders on productivity and quality assurance
  • Ensure that all work on the contract complies with the contract terms and conditions and is approved/coordinated with senior corporate managers
  • Responsible for making sure the program is staffed and working with teammates to achieve Leidos success
  • Supports delivery of CDRLs
  • Coordinates with government customer, understands customer's technical needs
  • Proactively identified and mitigates risks; identifies and capitalizes on opportunities
  • Establishes and maintains an inclusive work environment consistent with Leidos values and ethics


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience with programs of similar size and complexity (50-100 FTEs; Cyber Security/Information Assurance)
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in planning, directing, and managing projects/operations in an organization similar in size to this program
  • Demonstrates experience with researching and fielding new and innovative technologies
  • Demonstrates experience in procurement of IT hardware and software
  • Effectively work with a team establishing, strong, collaborative working relationships with government customers, technical staff, and senior managers
  • Strong follow through skills
  • Familiarity with DoD and NIST approved IA architecture policies, programs, standards, and guidelines
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with JSP and/or understands JSP's mission
  • 5 or more years of IT program management experience in DoD environment
  • PMP Certification
  • ITL Foundations Certification
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification
  • 10 or more years IT program management experience
