Our R&D location in Columbus, OH currently has an opportunity for aMaintenance Technician II for our 2nd shift. In Research & Development (R&D) our ambition is providing innovative high-quality products, creating sustainable value, delivering superior user experience and enhancing health outcomes at all stages of life

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • This position is for our 2nd shift operation.
  • Repair gear heads and reducers; replace/repair flexible tubing; install various components including: seals, bearings, o-rings, gaskets, adhesives, belts, chains, rollers, sprockets, gears and sheaves; troubleshoot repair / rebuild centrifugal / positive displacement pumps; fabricate parts directly from blueprints; repair/install stainless tubing, compression fittings; wire and repair electric motors; repair basic wiring and replace lighting fixtures and lamps; correct size fusing and motor overload protection; read electrical schematics and wire directly from wiring diagrams; use of electrical and precision tools to complete assigned work.
  • Proficient in performing repairs to production equipment and plant utility systems; troubleshooting complex, aseptic filling systems, and processing/sterilizing equipment; make machine adjustments to liquid line seamers, bottle sealers and bottle cappers; ensure proper operation of electrical / mechanical
  • Work well with little supervision. Follow all plant and department procedures, GMP's and plant safety rules. Keep all work areas clean and neat. Housekeeping of the shop is primarily the responsibility of everyone working in the area. Record and communicate shift activity in an organized manner. Properly use the plant work order system and follow all stockroom procedures. Audit equipment and develop replacement part lists.


Minimum Education/Professional Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED and two-years mechanical / electrical technical degree or equivalent experience.
